Excellence service by the family who rush it and the staff. Great location and plenty of seating. It's one of the my favorite lunch spots and has great sandwiches and salads. We like the caprese panini, and the chicken philly, and burgers.

Friendly service is the trademark of this family business. Order at the counter, one of their signature sandwiches from the Philly cheesesteak to the paninis and burgers, all are awesome and they will bring it to your table. I have customized many orders and when I return they remember my choices! The french fries are better than any fast food place even the golden arches! This place reminds me of the bar in the show called Cheers because if you return they treat you like one of the family rather than just a customer. Outdoor seating on a quiet corner is available and plenty of tables indoors too!

I didn't grow up in this area. I'm originally from the Bay Area, Daly City to be exact. I've lived in Sac for over 18 years with my family and I always ask my work friends to direct me on places to go to eat in and around Davis. My hubby and I with my little munchkin (ok, he's 10 but he's small), were in the Davis area because we were at the pumpkin patch (our yearly outing for Halloween time). We were hungry and we wanted to know what was a good place to eat at where my munchkin wouldn't have a hard time finding something to eat. My coworker friend suggested this place. I conducted my search on yelp and saw that it was a great place to stop by and eat and they had really good burgers and sandwiches, which was great. Variety is always good when you have a little kid with you. Anyway, we found this place pretty quick and found parking around the corner. College towns are pretty busy, even on a weekend, so just a heads up. We were pretty lucky to secure such a close parking spot. It was a Saturday afternoon so we didn't think this place was going to be busy. There were a lot of people walking around since there's always something happening in and around the college so this is nothing new. When we walked in, we noticed the big patio area and college students just eating and hanging out. This added to our curiosity of this place since you just never know if a place is good or not these days. Anyway, there's a huge menu on the wall that catches your eye. They have a lot of offerings from hot dogs, sandwiches, salads, burgers, kids meals, etc. I appreciated that they had kids meals but my kid didn't want a kids meal. I also appreciated that they didn't pressure us to order something since we were trying to decide what we wanted. Believe it or not the munchkin knew what he wanted before his dad and I knew. Okay, we finally decided on food. Munchkin ordered mozzarella sticks and caesar salad. I ordered the bbq bacon cheeseburger with fries and hubby ordered the mushroom Swiss burger. We ordered at the counter and the cashier was super friendly. After ordering, we found a table and hung out. There were TVs on the wall showing some of the college games that were being played at the moment. I loved this because since my older kids are now in college, I love watching college football and basketball games. There's plenty of seating inside and outside, just take your pick. We didn't have to wait that long for our food, which was awesome, especially with a hangry 10 year old. The caesar salad and mozzarella sticks came out first. The salad was huge. It wasn't like a little bowl or a side salad. It came out in one of those very large serving pasta bowls/platters. Remember, this is what my 10 year old ordered. A few minutes later, our burgers came out piping hot. My hubby's burger was a little tiny (burger, bun, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, tomato and lettuce) but super flavorful. My burger was packed to the brim with all the fixings...the burger, the buns, onions, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion rings, bbq sauce and bacon mayo. It was sooo good and sooo juicy. I almost didn't want to finish it because it was THAT good and I don't normally finish my burgers. The fries were just meh but they were good with my burger. They give you a lot when you order your meal as a combo (burger, fries and a drink). Everything was great and we didn't have to wait too long. The only con was that the salad didn't have enough dressing on it. We had to ask for a few more little dressing cups to add some "flavor" to the salad. However much they originally put on the salad, plus 3 of those little dressing cups was just enough dressing without going over. Please keep that in mind. We were done with our lunch, asked for a little to go container for the salad and fries and we were well on our way. This place wasn't busy and we were able to enjoy our food, without all the hustle and bustle and enjoy the college games that were showing on tv. It was a great Saturday afternoon.

A place that sells two beers for $9? That's a pretty good deal for downtown Davis. The options are limited, but the variety aren't bad. During happy hours, a side of fries only cost $1.50 as well. It's definitely not the best food, but it'll satisfy your need for beer after a long day without wrecking your wallet. Because it is so friendly for your wallet, I'd give this place a solid 4 stars. Cheers!

This review is strictly on the space and the beer deal. This place has spacious indoor and outdoor areas and it's just a couple blocks from the east side of Davis' campus. It's a super convenient spot after work/school and they have a great happy hour deal! All day, everyday- 2 draft beers for $9. They give you a ticket to redeem your beer and it has to be used on the same day. There are about 8 draft beers to choose from ranging from Modelo's pilsner-style lager to Deschutes' IPAs.
